I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday. My husband won’t let me near the computer once I post this so I’ll be back on Friday.
I should have known it wouldn’t last. The weather, that is. Today was cold! And windy, too. The only thing we could do to keep warm was run around. That’s how my session with these two started. Aiden and Connor are brothers and they are so adorable.

Aren’t they handsome? And they are so cute together.

Kristen, thanks for braving the cold with me today. I hope Connor is feeling alright. They are such good boys. You are so lucky.
I was so happy to see this little cutie today. I first met her about a year ago. Since then she’s grown so much. She’ll be turning 3 just a few days after Christmas.
She was talking up a storm today. Girls are definitely more chatty than boys. She told me all about her favorite princess ~ Sleeping Beauty. At first she just wanted to run around but eventually she slowed down. This is one of my favorites from today!

We played around in the leaves.

Sometimes when I want to get a natural smile from a child, I’ll ask them to show me all kinds of different emotions like sad or angry or silly or surprised. This is Charlotte suprised. So cute!

Then it was time for some family shots. I have to tell you Amy, when I was going through all of the images, I could not help but smile when I got to these. I also felt a little sad that I don’t have pictures like this with my own kids. I think it’s so important and so special to capture the emotion between a mother and child. There’s nothing else in the world like it.

And then, when Charlotte asked her daddy if he could be her prince, I almost melted. What a sweetheart!

What a gorgeous family!

Thanks so much Isabel family. I had a wonderful time today. Enjoy!

I could not have asked for a better day. The holiday mini sessions went off without a hitch. Thanks to all the families who came out. Here are just a few from today.

You’d think we had a casting call for Gap or something ~ everyone was so gorgeous! Thanks again!
Little Michael has a lot to celebrate next month. He’s turning 1 year old and, like the rest of us, he’s getting ready for the holidays. He was all smiles from the moment we met. I love starting a session like that.

Yesterday he went to visit Santa and look at what he got.

One of the Christmas traditions my husband and I have started with our girls is putting out a plate of cookies for Santa. Well, I thought Michael might like to practice for his first Christmas. He loved it!

After his holiday pictures, Michael got into his birthday suit. He wasn’t too find of the hat mom brought but we were able to distract him with some cake.

And then, before I had to say goodbye, we snuck in a few pictures for the Fighting Irish.

Lindsey, thanks so much for a wonderful morning. Michael is adorable. Enjoy!
I only have a minute to post these but I couldn’t let the night go by without showing mom her adorable kids. What a great session today! This is Emerson. She’s only 5 weeks old.

And here’s the gorgeous big sister!

Kristin, sorry I only have time for a couple. It was great to see you and meet the girls. You have a beautiful family!
What a fun session today. Two 2 year-olds! I’ve met Ava before but Michael is a new friend. They are cousins and they just adore each other. First I snapped some individual shots. I love this hat and coat!

Then it was time to get Ava and Michael together and, if you know anything about 2 year-olds, it’s an almost impossible feat. Well, I had a secret weapon with me that I pulled out as a last resort. Lollipops! It worked like a charm for these two. They were so happy once they had the lollipops that they would have sat next to each other the entire afternoon. Soooo cute!!

They are as different as two little girls can be. One has dark hair. The other has light hair. One is shy and sweet. The other is loud and silly. One is very particular. The other is more easy going. But as different as they are, they both share something that no one else has. Each other!
Allison and Samantha are twins. You’d never guess it if they were standing in a room next to each other. Samantha looks like her daddy and Allison looks more like mom. They have become good friends with my daughter Julianna. I am so happy too because I think they are such sweet girls. Their mom has become a good friend of mine too!
This is Samantha. She’s a lot like Julianna. They are both stubborn and sensitive.

This is Allison. She cracks me up. There are only two things on her Christmas list ~ a Blackberry and a pony!

I loved their outfits. They were so cute. And the boots were the best part.

So most of the time I post the pretty pictures here on my blog. You don’t really get to see what goes on in between the snapshots. During this session, my daughter was behind me making up silly songs about peeing and pooping. The girls were being really silly so I thought I’d show you some of the images that will probably wind up on the cutting room floor.

Love these girls!!!
Today I got to spend some time with the K family. Mom Christine is the owner of Olive Branch Papery, a one stop shop for all your stationary needs. She does gorgeous announcements, invitations, and notecards. Aside from being a business owner, she’s a mom to three beautiful girls. This is Amelia. She is so sweet. I made her laugh unintentionally when I said “Hmmm,” and I put my finger up to my mouth. I was trying to think of something that would make her smile and that was all it took!

This is little Makayla (not sure if I spelled her name right, sorry Christine!). She is 7 months old and such an easy going baby. I have never seen eyes like hers before. They really sparkle!

And this cutie pie is Olivia. She is the big sister of this trio. She is so good too. Towards the end of the session, I asked her if she wanted to go on an adventure like Dora or Diego. She was so excited. First we walked to the Pumpkin Patch, then we went by the Crooked Chair and that’s how we got the the Spooky Forest. Even mom and dad went with us!

I love their outfits. They look so festive!

It was great to see you today K family!!
Ok so I’m not very creative with my titles but it’s hard to think this late. What a gorgeous day it was today. Can you belive this weather in November? I wish it would stay like this forever.
It does, however, confuse my clients when they are supposed to be dressing there children in sweaters and jackets. I think Trevor was sweating by the end of our shoot today.
Trevor is 5 months old and he is a ball of energy. He was moving all over the place and getting up on his hands and knees. Mom is in big trouble because he’s going to be crawling any day. At 5 months!! How sweet is this face???

Trevor’s doggy wanted to hop in a picture too. He was feeling left out. Or maybe he just like my fluffy blanket.

After a few minutes, Trevor had a wardrobe change. Anyone who’s been following this blog knows how much I love hats. I was so excited to see mom pull this one out.

And then there was this hat. This one is so cool. I actually wish I had one for myself.

Laura, it was so great to see you today and to meet your family. Trevor is a cutie pie! I already forgot the name of your sister’s company so please e-mail me when you get a chance. I’d really love to work with you.
