I’m so excited for this weekend and all the fun stuff we’ve got planned. Parade, BBQ, swimming, fireworks ~ what more could you ask for?
Before I officially call it a holiday, I had to visit the C family. I wasn’t sure we were going to make it because it started to rain as soon as I brought out my camera, but the weather held out.
B is 6 years old and she reminds me so much of Julianna. She was sweet and shy at the same time. She did everything I asked her to.

I even brought along a brand new tutu for her to try out.

This is the same tutu that I’ve been trying to get Julianna in for weeks now. I bought it for her birthday and I had these grand ideas for a photo shoot and she just won’t do it. Thank goodness for B!!
Her little brother J also reminded me of my 2 year-old. He had no time for pictures. He was too busy perfecting his golf game.

I brought along a secret weapon because I know how hard it can be to photograph a 2 year-old. And he loved it!

Big sister couldn’t wait to get her hands on that lollipop.

And last but not least, mom wanted to get a picture of the kids with Pop Pop. This wonderful man is 95 years old! Can you believe it? I only hope that I am able to live that long and that I’m surrounded by people who love me like he is.

Stefanie, I had a great time meeting you and your family. Your children are gorgeous. I am so jealous of J’s hair! And B is such a sweetie. I hope to see you guys around town. Have a wonderdul holiday weekend!

I love these mini albums and so do clients. They are perfect little brag books. You can purchase them as part of Collection IV or a la carte for $65. Great gift for the upcoming holiday season!

Edited to add: Congratulations Girls!! You won the contest!
I posted a picture of these three beautiful sisters earlier in the week but I never got to do a proper post.
Erica called me to do a session with her and her sisters and their three dogs Spanky, Alfie, and Darla. I have to admit, I was a little nervous at first. I’ve photographed dogs and their owners before but it’s never been more than one. So I brought along a basket thinking it might be easier to try and get them to sit still.
Not so much!
Just when we thought they were all settled and I would position myself to take a picture, one of those little pooches would jump right out. They were so darn cute though! They were such troopers, walking all over the park in the heat.

This is Darla. She is the girls newest addition. She was rescued by Erica and her family and she does this every time someone comes over to her. Poor thing.

She worse these cute little bows in her hair.

This is Spanky. Or is it Alfie? I kept getting these two confused.

And how gorgeous are all of these girls? The best part is they all had a great sense of humor and they wanted to do fun, silly shots. I had a blast! I love when clients feel comfortable enough in front of me and my camera to be themselves.

Thanks again girls!!

Hi All!
Can you believe it’s July already? I hope you’re enjoying your summer. This month’s contest includes some of my very favorite people. I did a session with my sister and her little girl for Father’s Day. I met up with my sister-in-law and took pictures of Mister B as a surprise for my brother. I also got to photograph two families in town whose kids were in Julianna’s Kindergarten class. I got to meet up with an old friend and see a new friend’s bundle of joy. It was a great month!
So now it’s time to pick your fave. You know the rules ~ one vote per e-mail address please and only once a day. The photo with the most votes will receive a complimentary 11×14 wall portrait. You’ve got until the end of the day to cast your vote.
Good luck!

What a weekend for the beach! I am so glad we decided to extend our stay. We came down on Saturday and we’ll be back tomorrow afternoon. Saturday we hit the boardwalk and it started to rain, but it passed pretty quickly and we got to see a beautiful rainbow! It was a perfect day.
This morning I met up with the S family for my first session on the beach. Miss Taylor is 15 months and she’s still deciding whether she likes the sand or not. My oldest was the same way. She refused to set her feet down on the sand. Now she rolls around in it so don’t worry Melissa, she’ll come around.

Melissa, thanks for braving the wind and sand today. I had a wonderful time meeting you and your family. Enjoy the rest of your vacation.

Today must have been the hottest day of the year and what do you think happened? The air conditioning in my car broke!
So when I got to the C family’s house, I was already sweating. They, however, were all dressed up to go to a wedding so we opted to do most of the pictures indoors. I felt bad making them stand outside for too long.
Miss R is going to be a flower girl for the first time. How exciting! And she looked so gorgeous in her dress. Her big brother wasn’t too shabby either. They both have the most beautiful eyes.

I love these next two.

This kid is going to be a heartbreaker when he grows up.

I love it when kids start losing their teeth! Julianna has a loose one and I can’t wait for it to pop out.

Okay, I can’t tell you enough how much I love this next picture. This girl should model for Gap or something.

Regina, I said I was only going to post a few but your kids are just delicious!! I can’t wait to show you the rest. Hope you had fun at the wedding.

Our first few days of summer vacation and Julianna is sick. She started with a fever yesterday and is complaining of a sore throat. I am hoping and praying she does not have the flu. Her temp his 102.8 last night. We’re going to go see the doc today.
If you are a client and you are waiting for an order, please give me a day or two to get back up and running. I had planned on making a few deliveries today and placing orders as well but my little munchkin needs my attention.
I’ll keep you updated!

I’ve been wanting to post these images of my niece and nephew but I couldn’t because they were a surprise for Father’s Day.
This is Hannah Banana, my sister’s little girl. Isn’t she gorgeous?

This is my lovely sister. She’s the best. Love her to pieces! And she’s gorgeous too (but only because she’s my twin!)

And this handsome little man you might recognize. I’ve posted pictures of him before. Brennan is my brother’s baby. He’s the sweetest thing. He’s got a ton of brand new teeth too!

Hi all! I am so excited to tell you about a brand new package designed especially for first birthdays.
First Birthday Blowout
You did it! You survived the first year of motherhood and your little one has grown so much. If you’re like me, you’ll be celebrating this milestone with a big bash. And who wants to worry about taking pictures? Leave the memories to me.
Your First Birthday Blowout will include a mini cake session to be scheduled two weeks before your party. The session will take place at my home. All you need to bring is a cake or cupcake and a ton of baby wipes ’cause it’s gonna get messy! You will view a gallery with up to 10 images from our mini session and I will create a fun poster to display at the party.
Your birthday blowout will also include 2 hours of shoot time at the party. I’ll walk around and snap pictures of the guest of honor with friends and family members. I’ll also be there for the all-important Happy Birthday song. You won’t have to worry about a thing. Sit back and enjoy your little one’s big day.
Two weeks after the party, you will receive a CD with all of the images from the party and the mini session. You will also receive a 5×5 mini album and a set of 25 Thank You cards. Additional sets may be purchased for $30. Prints will also be available to purchase at a 20% discount.
