Pink Glasses

Last week I gave my older daughter a blanket and told her to have fun while I snapped some pictures. This weekend, I gave my 5 year old a pair of pink glasses and she looked so stinkin cute, I had to pull out the big camera. I’m so proud of myself for taking more pictures of the girls with my Canon, not my cell phone (you can still follow my day to day pics on instagram . I’ve been pretty good with my Project 365 too!

Effortless [Hanover Township, NJ Child Photographer]

Effortless is the perfect word to describe my session with James. He was smiling from the moment I met him to the moment I said goodbye. Such an easy going baby. You’d never know he was getting ready for a big party this weekend to celebrate his first birthday! Most toddlers I know who are hitting the big O.N.E. tend to go through a little growth spurt and sometimes that can throw their mood out of whack. Not James. He’s a happy go lucky guy! Thanks for a fun session little man!

January 10, 2013 [Project 365]

I needed one shot for my Project 365 today but instead I got a handful of images I’m super happy with. I hopped in my car around 2:30 to pick the girls up from school and noticed the sun streaming through the trees that line my driveway. My plan was to get the girls and head straight home for an impromptu shoot (Julianna is always a willing participant). By the time I actually got there, the light had shifted into a spot I wasn’t thrilled with but I took out my camera anyway. All I asked her to do was twirl around with a blanket I had in my car. If I had planned ahead, I would have made her change her clothes, I would have brushed her hair, and I would have wiped the black marker that she had on her nose during school (and only noticed after all the pictures were taken!), but then who knows if I would have been able to get such lovely shots. Perfectly imperfect!

Megan Marlene - Those are just wonderful! You definitely captured a beautiful moment in her life. I love the second one from the bottom. So beautiful

Day Trip to NYC

This past Saturday we took a day trip into Manhattan. A few friends and I were there visiting another friend who recently moved to Ireland. She was back in the states for a few days celebrating her birthday and we had to meet up! The R family and I took the ferry into NYC and it was so much fun. It was a chilly day so the kids bundled up but still had a blast!
